DMAP-AI Farmer Version is being developed

The Farmer Version is planned as a practical agricultural drought-risk workflow for farmers, crop advisors, irrigation managers, and decision-makers who need short-term moisture-risk information in a field-friendly format.

Planned Farmer Version focus

  • Short-term drought and moisture-risk summaries for the next 2–4 weeks.
  • Crop-aware interpretation for corn and soybean workflows.
  • Decision-oriented messages for producers, crop advisors, and local managers.
  • Clear explanations that connect drought indicators with practical field conditions.

Why this version is separate from the Research Version

The Research Version focuses on learning and point-based SPI analysis. The Farmer Version is planned for applied agricultural decision support, where drought risk must be explained in relation to crop stage, short-term weather, and field-management context.

Crop context

Future workflows are expected to include crop type, growing-stage information, and season-aware risk messages.

Forward-looking risk

The goal is to support near-term planning using drought indicators and forecast-oriented information.

Simple communication

Results should be easy to explain to farmers, advisors, agencies, and decision-makers.

Current availability: the Farmer Version is not active yet. Please use the Research Version for the available point-based ERA5 yearly SPI workflow, or contact AgriMetSoft if you are interested in testing or collaboration.
